Jeff Schmidt posted a quick video tip on facebook this week, how he processed the VO in his demo for Torch FX. Its kind of a parallel compression. He uses two tracks: one for the original VO including RChannel, plus an additional track on which he cranks up the settings. For this he uses Q10, 7-Band EQ and L1 with complete crazy settings.
But watch yourself:
VIDEO QUICK TIP – Distorted Parallel VO ProcessingAlien Nation member Haris Filipovic reached out wanting to know how to achieve the VO sound from the Torch FX Demo. Its a bit tough to explain in writing – but pretty easy with video. Lemme know what ya think.
