Fiver Friday #543: Ninja AB, Quincy Wisdom, Robotaxis + More!

team image

Friday again, and I’ve got five good ones for you. Let’s go.

1. Plugin

Ninja AB from The Him DSP is the referencing tool I wish existed years ago. You tag the sections of a reference track once, intro, verse, chorus, and it remembers them. Flip to the reference and it jumps straight to the matching part of your own mix. Nine references per instance. Waveform, RMS and multiband views so you can see where the energy actually sits. The Him has half a billion streams, so he built this around a workflow that already works. 79 euros. Worth it.

2. Inspiration

Quincy Jones: “Leave space for God to walk through the room.” He said it to artists in his studio for years. Don’t fill every gap. Don’t cram the mix. Leave room for the magic to show up. Best production advice I know, and it works for imaging too.

3. Music

Love my Island Country

4. Web/Social/Whatever

Smart glasses you talk to

Tesla switched on driverless robotaxis in Miami. No safety driver, nobody in the front seat, you call one on the app and a Model Y shows up on its own. Florida rain is the real test for a camera only system. Wild to watch either way.

5. Imaging

Our July composite is up. Avalanche. Big, loud, and it does not let up. Even if you don’t cut rock, throw it on and hear how the pieces stack. This is the sound we chase.

Have a great weekend! — Andy
