1. Plugin

Mastering The Mix just dropped MIXVAULT, and it flips how EQ works. Instead of dragging a curve up or down, you pull a frequency closer to bring it forward or push it away to pull it back, all inside a 3D room view. Sounds strange on paper, feels obvious the second you try it. It also level matches every move in real time, so you are hearing the actual tonal change instead of getting fooled by extra loudness. 2. Inspiration

Kevin Robinson wrote a piece this week that stuck with me. He lines up our jobs against power line crews working through storms, nurses finishing a twelve hour shift, guys hauling eighty pounds of gear through a war zone. Then he reminds you what we actually do for a living: entertain people, play music, make someone smile on their commute. His line says it best. “Let’s take a fresh perspective of what we’re blessed to do.” That is the whole thing right there.

3. Music

Tucker Wetmore’s “Sunburn” has been stuck in my head all week. Warm vocal, hooky chorus, the kind of record that just sits right in the summer slot. Country radio has a real one here.

4. Web/Social/Whatever

A 13 year old named Zac Waters spent nearly 300 hours this summer 3D printing a custom wheelchair for a 21 month old girl. Pink accents because that is her favorite color, a cupholder, a tray table, straps made soft so they do not irritate her skin. He found a nonprofit called MakeGood that builds assistive devices and decided to just build one himself. Kid took a hobby and changed somebody’s life with it.
