Have your tracks ready before the action – how to…

Elastic Audio – one of Pro Tool’s coolest features at all. You have total control over your audio and you can perform time stretching without rendering your audio every time. It’s the ideal tool for beatmatching.

Usual you have to activate Elastic Audio by clicking the panel in the lower part of single track view in the edit window.

For those of you who will use Elastic Audio in almost every or even every session, here’s a little tip for you:

By clicking Preferences –> Processing you can enable Elastic Audio on every new track you create, just by clicking that little check box

This trick seems quite little, but if you’re into stretching audio a lot, you’ll soon love that every new track now is enabled with Elastic Audio. You’re ready to roll with no stops anymore. A basic tip, but I think very valuable !
