Blaze’s background is not in radio. NYC born and bred, she actually started out as a child actor on stage, screen and tv. You may remember her at 8 yrs old as Ellie Creed in Stephen King’s Pet Semetary (“He’s not God’s cat; he’s MY cat!”)or starring as Lenni on PBS’ internationally-syndicated tween episodic Ghostwriter in the early 90s. Not to mention hundreds of commercials for tv and radio where she pushed everything from cereal to cell phones. Her favorite jobs as a child however were always voice overs. As a top child talent, she scored gigs across the microphone from orators such as James Earl Jones and Walter Kronkite. One early VO highlight was being directed via ISDN by Stephen Spielberg for the animated film We’re Back. She decided to take a self-imposed hiatus from ‘the biz’ to attend college, and even worked for a short time at a top 3 wealth management company, before realizing the grass is not always greener on the other side. She returned to the entertainment industry, this time with a desire to be heard and not seen. Since then, she has established herself as one of the most active voice over talents on the NY scene, as voice of brand for clients such as Swiffer, Lincoln, Lubriderm, Metamucil, among countless others. She can be heard on HGTV, The DIY Channel and Nickelodeon/Nick Jr daily. She was the voice of venue for hundreds of shows at some of NYC’s most iconic concert venues and has voiced a wide range of characters (everything from Barbie for Toys R Us to Cheetah for DC Comics). Only in the last few ears has she broken into the world of radio imaging. She credits this jump to her agent Nate Zeitz at CESD who believed she had a voice for radio from the get-go and also to a few key producers (they know who they are) who discovered her from early demos and then helped hone her distinct sound. Growing up listening to radio in NY, she always wondered who that voice was between the songs, and can’t believe that now … it’s her! Blaze brings to the table a unique, fresh texture, a young sound but with a deep rich tone, range, comedic and acting ability, a sense of timing and 25+ years of VO experience. She can currently be heard on B96 Chicago, WILD 94-9 San Francisco and in roughly a dozen other markets. She looks forward to collaborating on a signature sound for yours.
