“Shotgun Tom” Kelly has been entertaining Southern California Radio and TV audiences for over 45 years. For the past 20 years, he has been in the Afternoon Drive spot at K-EARTH 101 in Los Angeles. He has also worked at such respected Radio stations: KGB, KCBQ, KFRC, and B-100, where he was Billboard Magazine “Air Personality of the Year.” Tom is one of the most active, and most decorated TV and Radio personalities in Southern California. He won two Emmy Awards as host of the syndicated TV game show “Words-a-Poppin”, and Radio and Records “Oldies Air Personality of the Year” at K-EARTH. At KUSI-TV, Tom hosted their morning and afternoon children’s programs for more than 10 years, and for more than 30 years was the local host of the MDA Labor Day Telethon in San Diego, and Los Angeles. In 1987, Tom was invited to the White House to meet President Ronald Reagan and present him with one of his trademark Ranger hats. On April 30, 2013, Tom received his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Tom’s voice can also be heard around the country doing TV and Radio Affiliate work and National TV Campaigns. Tom was heard on Network TV shows “Americas Most Wanted” on FOX, and “1000 Ways to Die” on SPIKE TV, and his voice was in the movie “Déjà Vu” with Denzel Washington.
