ANDY’S FIVER FRIDAY #280 – Gatekeeper, Gullfoss, Will.I.Am’s Xupermask And…
What a great chat yesterday on Clubhouse!
Plugin recommendations by the group were awesome, here is the ones I remembered and took notes of:
Gatekeeper is the cutting edge of volume modulation. Capable of sample-fast transitions and equipped with a unique variable smoothing algorithm, Gatekeeper allows for drastic, punchy gating and sequencing while keeping the output smooth… Doesn’t that sound good?
Gullfoss is an easy-to-use tool for everyone from the amateur musician to the professional mastering engineer. Its clean user interface offers a set of basic parameters that can be adjusted to improve the clarity, detail, spatiality, and balance of a mix or recording in a matter of seconds. Definetly worth it!
soothe2 is a dynamic resonance suppressor. It identifies problematic resonances on the fly and applies matching reduction automatically. Pretty cool!
Bitspeek is a real-time pitch-excited linear prediction codec effect.
Next week we will be on pause as we do the Global Radio Webinar with a legendary programer and idol of mine, Thierry Chameaux, head of programing for Europa Plus. Register here, if you haven’t already.
Autotune anyone? Great article from our friends at UAD
