Andy’s Fiver Friday – Episode 21 or #Cans4Cans

The year’s nearly over and we’ve got 21 Episodes of Fiver Friday so far. I am thrilled your are loving this series so much and  I’m really looking forward getting you some good stuff every Friday throughout next year!

1. Plugins/DAW

Woofer this week :)…It is christmas soon!

– Studio One v3

For me it’s not an alternative to Pro Tools, but the guys here use it for composing and they’re very happy with it. We already did an overview about some of the new features, which ship with version 3. Be up for more Studio One 3 stuff in 2016!

Studio One Screencap

 – Blocks Wired

Native Instruments is giving away this synth for free. Seems to be a new one, haven’t hear about it before. As an additional holiday gift you get a 25$ e-voucher and discount codes for beatport, juno and some other stores. Click here to get to the Native Instruments Website.

2. Inspiration

I recently saw the movie Manny when I was home sick on Wednesday. I always have been  fan of Manny Pacquiao, one of the best boxers the world has ever seen. A very inspiring story narrated by Liam Nielson and produced really well.

3. Music

I’m happy Adam ‘Hoody’ Hood, who oversees our AC, Goldmine and Spark libraries, is here in Stuttgart for some days, visiting the office. I asked him to do this week’s music suggestion. Nice classic Stuff!

4. Social / Web/ Whatever

As last year we’re doing the Cans4Cans Giveaway! From now until 23rd December post a photo of you wearing headphones to Facebook, Twitter or Instragram, using the hashtag #Cans4Cans. For each photo we will donate a can of food to the LA Food Bank!

Let me take a #selfie!

5. Imaging

James Stodd produces our Classic Rock library: Avalanche. Check out the library composite with great VO work by Jim Merkel, Rachel Butera and Scott Whyte.
