The Ultimate Audio Battle of Skill and Will Set for May 3rd at Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, CA

APRIL 23, 2013, BURBANK, CA—Benztown, an international radio imaging, production library, programming and voice-over services company with over 1,700 affiliations on six different continents, today announced that Dan Kelly, Creative Services Director at WPLJ in New York, has been chosen as finalist in the second annual Iron Imager Contest, an international radio imaging contest where production professionals compete for cash and the coveted title of World’s Best Imager. Kelly will face off against Iron Imager 2012 titleholder, Paul Duffy of Dublin, Ireland, who returns to L.A. to defend his title in a head-to-head live competition on May 3rd at the All Access Worldwide Radio Summit at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood. Duffy and Kelly will demonstrate their top caliber imaging skills using audio ingredients handpicked from Benztown’s 20 production libraries, paired with prepackaged voice-over from some of Benztown’s newest world-class voice talent.

Benztown also announced today the Iron Imager Contest judges, who rank among the world’s top producers and programmers. Judges are: Ken Benson, President, SparkNet Research & Consulting; Louie Diaz, Program Director, Alpha Broadcasting/Portland; and Trevor Shand, Imaging Producer & Writer for Rogers Broadcasting/Canada and KROQ/Los Angeles.

Dave “Chachi” Denes, Benztown President, said: “With two of the world’s very best production professionals—both at the top of their game– competing as finalists, Iron Imager Contest 2013 will be a true battle of skill and will. We are pleased that Ken Benson, Louie Diaz, and Trevor Shand have taken on the difficult task of determining which of these two brilliant imagers will take home the title of World’s Best Imager for 2013.”

Andreas Sanneman, Benztown CEO, said: “We are proud to showcase radio’s top imaging professionals and thank everyone who threw their hats in the ring this year. All the entries were very strong, but Dan Kelly really put it out there this year. He will be a formidable opponent of Paul Duffy, who currently holds the title of World’s Best Imager. May the best man win!”
