BENZTOWN BRINGS ITS AFFILIATES ONE-ON-ONE MEDIA MARKETING EXPERTISE AND MUSCLE THROUGH NEW SALES SUPPORT SERVICES UNIT

Veteran Radio Sales Exec Richard Allen to Lead Sales Support Services for Benztown Radio Networks

AUGUST 7, 2012, BURBANK, CA—Benztown, an international radio imaging, production library, and voice-over services company with over 1,200 affiliations on six different continents, today announced that it has named veteran media sales and marketing executive, Richard Allen, to lead the newly formed Sales Support Services unit of its media syndication company, Benztown Radio Networks, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hollywood Radio Networks. Benztown’s Sales Support Services team will provide specialized one-on-one marketing and sales strategy and assistance to affiliates of Benztown Radio Networks. This new model of affiliate sales support is another Benztown first. Benztown altered the radio landscape by creating a barter-based model for its radio imaging and voice-over product, allowing stations to provide the highest quality imaging regardless of market size or budget restrictions.

Richard Allen brings considerable expertise as one of the radio industry’s top sales and marketing forces to Benztown and its affiliates. Allen served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for CBS Radio, where he managed the New Business and Marketing Departments for the U.S., and was also Vice President of CBS’s Western Region and Western Regional Manager over CBS’ Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas and Seattle markets. Allen was most recently Director of Sales for Comstar Media’s Western Region. He was also Senior Account Manager for Clear Channel-Los Angeles radio stations KBIG, KLAC and KOST.
