BENZTOWN STRETCHES ITS COMEDY MUSCLE WITH FUNNYMAN STRETCH ROBERTS
Outrageously Talented Comedian and Radio Personality Joins Benztown Team as Rock/Sports Comedy Writer
JUNE 25, 2012, BURBANK, CA—Benztown, an international radio imaging, production library, and voice-over services company with over 1,000 affiliations on six different continents, today announced that it has named Stretch Roberts, popular radio talk show host, writer, producer, entertainment/gossip reporter to its production team as Benztown’s lead Rock/Sports Comedy Writer. Stretch will write comedic promos, bits and male focused entertainment reports for the Rock and Sports imaging libraries available through Cumulus Media Networks.
Roberts has over 20 years experience in radio on some of the most popular radio stations in America, including WPLJ in New York and Wild in San Francisco, as well as in his hometown of Los Angeles at Pirate Radio, Power 106, KIIS-FM, The BEAT, and on Star 98.7 as “Stench,” morning show Executive Producer/Host/Affiliate Relations, on the Jamie and Danny Show as well as the Jamie Jack and Stench show. The Star 98.7 Morning Show was also syndicated in Denver on KISS-FM, in Bakersfield, CA on KLLY-FM, and in Portland, OR on STAR-FM.
Most recently, Roberts served Sirius/XM Satellite Radio as “Stretch,” host of the Stretch Show Mornings on Maxim Radio.
He is a also a distinctive voice-over pitchman in radio commercials, and has been featured on Mad TV, “Gilmore Girls”, “Passions”, “The King of Queens” and most recently as a Gossip Expert on TV Guide Channel’s “Hollywood 411”. Stretch’s keen wit and unique brand of humor translates well on stage as a stand-up comedian who has performed at the world-famous Comedy Store on Sunset Strip in L.A., and as a headliner at The Ice House in Pasadena.
