With a voice for radio, a face for TV, and a heart for humanity, it’s no wonder that Lynn Hoffman is the internationally known girl next door. Most recognized as the vivacious and host of the Emmy-nominated show Private Sessions, a music performance and interview series airing in the U.S. and 17 other countries, Lynn has interviewed many of the top names in contemporary music and film. Award-winning celebrities such as Ringo Starr, Bon Jovi, John Mellencamp, Sting, Dustin Hoffman, Gregg Allman, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Carly Simon, Mary J. Blige, Alan Jackson, Michael Douglas, Daughtry, Sheryl Crow, Train, Annie Lennox, and Ricky Martin have fallen under the spell of Lynn’s engaging warmth, quick wit, and sincerity, revealing and exploring intimate anecdotes that captivate the viewing audience. Lynn’s ability to captivate the viewers and her guests, has resulted in her first 2 Emmy Nominations in 2011 for her hosting duties on the show. Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Lynn realized she wanted to be in show business during a childhood role in the play Peter Pan. “When I got up there on stage and made all those people smile, I felt like I was home,” she remembers. Following in the footsteps of her early idols Carol Burnett, Cher, and the cast of Saturday Night Live, Lynn frequently used a cassette recorder to tape her own make-believe variety shows and play them back for an audience of family and friends. At 19, Lynn recorded her first radio commercial and nailed it on her second take. She was hooked. Her affinity for broadcasting led her to pursue a degree in communications from The New England Institute of Art. Soon thereafter, Lynn began making her professional mark with an on-air position at Metro Networks as a traffic, news, and entertainment reporter. Two weeks into the job, she was promoted to the coveted drive-time slot, where she held her own trading one-liners with Boston’s hottest morning jocks, including legendary personality John Lander. Lynn’s electrifying energy quickly earned her an invitation to join WBMX-FM/Mix 98.5’s Lander in the Morning. She went on to co-host the show for more than five years, helping to make it one of the country’s most highly rated morning shows. In 2002, Lynn set out to fulfill her media dreams by moving to New York City. Within a few months of her arrival in the Big Apple, she became the first VJ for MTV’s new channel, VH1 Classic, where she hosted what would become their most popular show, The All Request Hour. As the channel grew, Lynn hosted the show Hangin’ With, co-hosting episodes with music icons like Donna Summer, Bonnie Raitt, Hall & Oates, Pat Benatar, The Doors, Debbie Gibson, Dee Snider, Gloria Gaynor, Lisa Loeb, Suzanne Vega, and Kenny Loggins. As Lynn’s career continued its ascent, she became a well-known music television personality both domestically and internationally. Alongside Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Roger Daltrey of The Who, she co-hosted the Time Life TV infomercial Legends of Rock, which aired across North America and Europe. Soon Lynn was hosting special episodes on E! Entertainment and TLC, received her own morning radio show on WNEW-FM/102.7 in New York, and began voicing commercials and narrations for numerous TV shows and documentaries. In 2007, Lynn’s talent caught the attention of A&E Television Networks, which immediately contracted her for their new show Private Sessions. The show became cable television’s most-watched music and interview series. Still capturing listening and viewing audiences in numerous top markets including New York, Chicago, and Dallas, Lynn is the warm and friendly imaging voice for some of radio broadcasting’s largest companies, including CBS Radio, Clear Channel Radio, and Cumulus Media. Lynn is also the official commercial TV spokesperson for New York’s Lexus Platinum Dealer Network in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Lynn is proud to be parlaying her talent into the newly created Lynn Hoffman Entertainment, a platform that incorporates her professional success, artistic vision, and entrepreneurial spirit with her commitment to producing top-notch entertainment. “All I’ve ever wanted to do in life is work in a collaborative, creative, and artistic environment,” Lynn declares. “I love to entertain people, make them laugh, and feel good about themselves. I strive to motivate and inspire people to live the best lives they can. If we all lift each other up, then we all succeed.” Represented by Nate Zeitz & Hoss/CESD Talent Agency
