Here at Benztown we always check the web and magazines for new plug-ins and amazing gear which maybe help to take our imaging and music production to the next level… or we check out classics like the U47 and hit you up with a mic comparison (Side Note Andy: great feedback on that, thanks guys!). And because there’s so much new and old stuff that’s worth to review or to test, we are having a hard time to decide on our own, what should be NEXT?!

More Mics? There are many new and old Mics worth to test… Maybe the JZ Vintage 11? Ore the Audio Technica AT5040? Or just say low/mid/high price!
Native Instruments released 3 new drum plug-ins. What’s their benefits for radio production? Drum Lab is a plug-in that combines acoustic drums with electronic drums. Kinetic Metal shall help to turn unconventional sound sources into instrumental sounds with only a few clicks. Native Instrument Action Drums is a plugin that creates cinematic percussion effects.
The 2.0 version of iZotope’s Nectar comes up with new harmony and pitch correction features. Does it lighten vocal editing and speeds up jingle production?
Apple’s Logic Pro X in a Benztown test… Track Stack? Flex Pitch? Does the new features make it an imaging DAW option?
The U-He Satin is a new virtual tape machine plug-in with many options. How does it sound?
Pro Tools 11 has received mixed general reviews. We could check the update (with redesigned 64-architecture and enhanced audio engine) especially for the use of radio imaging and composing…
